The magic number for the 2016 NL Central Division Champion Chicago Cubs to earn home field advantage throughout the NL playoffs dropped again on Wednesday as they beat the Reds 9-2 to sweep the series.

Lackey tossed a dominant start (7 IP, 4 K, 2 ER), Dexter "You Go, We Go" Fowler & Kris Bryant each homered, and Miggy went 3-for-5 with 3 RBI to pace the offense.

The MLB-best Cubs enjoy an off day Thursday before kicking off a three-game series against St. Louis on Friday at Wrigley.

We're looking forward to covering the Cubs' playoff run and we're continuing to update the Cubs Magic Numbers!

That was a Bryant home run, not Rizzo. Keep up the good work!

Was not fortunate enough to be able to watch the game last night but I did look it up and that was a Bryant home run. Somebody should have proof read this article before it was posted but the commenter was correct.
