Hey hey! The Chicago Cubs kicked off the 2018 season in style, beating the Marlins 8-4 behind homers by Happ, Rizzo, and Schwarber. The revamped Chicago bullpen looked great, tossing 5.2 innings of scoreless, one-hit ball.

Happ's homer was a no-doubter on the first pitch of the game, and the Cubs scored three in the top of the 1st, sending nine men to the plate. Rizzo's dinger put the Cubs up 4-1 in the 2nd, and the Schwarbomb atoned for a couple of early defensive miscues. LaStella's clutch pinch-hit, two-run double put the Cubs up 8-4 in the 7th.

The series continues Friday in Miami. Everybody in!

Go Cubs go!
