Cubs win! Cubs win! Cubs win! The 2016 NL Central Division Champion Chicago Cubs capped off a historic regular season with a signature comeback win at Cincinnati on Sunday. They erased deficits of 3-0 and 4-2, the bullpen tossed four innings of shutout ball, and Matt Szczur's 9th inning two-run double put the Cubs ahead for good.

The Cubs won their division going away, 17.5 games ahead of the second-place Cardinals, by winning 103 games, the most by a Cubs team since 1910. All in all, a fantastic season!

The North Siders wrapped up home field advantage throughout the NL playoffs. Game 1 of the NLDS is Friday, and they'll face the winner of Wednesday's NL Wild Card game between the Mets and the Giants. Here's the series schedule (some times TBA):
  • Game 1: Friday, October 7 at Wrigley Field, 8:15 pm CT
  • Game 2: Saturday, October 8 at Wrigley Field, 7:08 pm CT
  • Game 3: Monday, October 10
  • Game 4: Tuesday, October 11 (if necessary)
  • Game 5: Thursday, October 13 (at Wrigley Field, if necessary)
